The events aim to promote exchange, friendship and promote the image of a 1000-year-old Hanoi to international friends.

These activities will include with an exhibition on Hanoi in the eyes of the international community scheduled to take place from September 24-28, with the participation of diplomats and foreign friends from all over the world.
A festival on Vietnam-China friendship, the 37th run for peace hosted by Hanoi Moi (New Hanoi) Newspaper, and music performances will be held.
The spotlight of the activities however, will be a ceremony to review the 10 years of a quiz contest on Thang Long-Hanoi as well as a meeting with award winners to be held at Hanoi Opera House by the Hanoi Union of the Friendship Organisations on October 7.
