The 17th South-Central Coast and Highlands Photography Festival, on the theme "South-Central Coast and Highlands - the Land and the People" opened in Kon Tum province on October 4.
The exhibition features 150 pictures by photographers from ten provinces in the region, showcasing images of nature, landscape and people following Uncle Ho's example, as well as socio-economic development and the cultural lives of local people.
The festival organisers received over 1420 pictures from 219 photographers and, after three rounds of judging, 150 were also chosen to hang in the exhibition. Fifteen images were also chosen to receive awards, including one gold, two silver, and three bronze medals, seven consolation prizes, as well as three team prizes.
The event was co-organised by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and the Kon Tum provincial Literature and Arts Association, aiming to offer the chance for artists to meet, exchange ideas and show their artwork to the public.
