The budget carrier VietJetAir officially opened its first international route linking Ho Chi Minh City and Thailand's capital city of Bangkok on February 10th.
With the new service, VietJetAir has become Vietnam's first holdings airlines joining the international aviation market.
According to VietJetAir Business Development Director Desmond Lin, the flight will depart from HCM City at 11:45 am and arrive in Bangkok at 13:15 pm.
Another flight will take off from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport at 2.30 pm and land in HCM City at 4pm.
In the first stage, the carrier will operate seven flights on this route per week, using Airbus A320 bearing the symbol of Vietnamese tourism, he said.
The opening of its 10 th air route marks an important milestone in the development of the carrier, he noted.
On the occasion, VietJetAir also launched a Thai language website to provide information for Thai visitors.
