The Thua Thien Hue Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has announced that 21 businesses will join the 2013 tourism stimulus programme, with specific promotional products.
They include three travel agencies, three resorts and fifteen hotels. The specific promotional products mainly focus on accommodation. The resorts and hotels offer check in before 12pm and check out after 4pm to accommodate guests using Danang Airport while Hue's Phu Bai Airport is closed for renovation.
Spa, laundry and minibar services will have charges cut by 3-5 percent. For individual guests, the resorts and hotels will offer one night free of charge for guests staying three consecutive nights. The promotion will be offered until September 30.
Specifically, the Hue Royal Citadel (Dai Noi) will implement two promotional phases from September 2 to 8 and from December 24 to 30. Accordingly, guests who buy tickets to visit Dai Noi and Hue Royal Antiques Museum will be offered tramcar service free of charge and a 50 percent discount on tickets to watch Hue Royal Music (Nha Nhac) at Duyet Thi Duong Theatre.
The target of welcoming 2.5 million tourists in 2013 is possible, as the number of tourists to Hue is on the rise. In the first six months this year, the province attracted nearly 1.5 million tourists, earning a turnover of more than VND1.2 trillion, a year-on-year rise of more than 111 percent.
