Dak Lak responds to Tourism Stimulus Program 2013

(TITC) - Responding to the Tourism Stimulus Program 2013 associated with fostering the development of service sectors launched by Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has built and implemented many activities attracting the participations of tour operators, hotels, restaurants, transportations, tourist sites, shopping centers and entertainment areas.

These activities of Dak Lak aims to increase the number of tourists associated with developing service trade in 2013; stimulate the consumption of domestic goods; contribute to overcoming the economic difficulties and creating the sustainable development of tourism in the coming years, bringing tourism into a key economic sector of the province; raise awareness of tourism for tourism enterprises and locals...

 

Contents of the activities include:

 

Fostering tourism promotion activities: researching, implementing and gradually establishing a system of free tourist information stalls in important traffic hubs; enhancing information technology applications in tourism promotion; establishing tourism promotion offices in key markets at home and abroad; issuing tourism promotion publications for fairs, exhibitions; fostering propaganda activities about annual events of the province...

 

Implementing promotion campaigns on the spot: developing short tour, weekend tour, exploring and experiencing tour of Buon Ma Thuot's coffee, tour for Russian tourists (coordination with the provinces of Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan...), Viet Nam - Laos - Cambodia tour; encouraging tourist sites to discount 20-25% of fare for domestic visitors in groups and programs; developing new and unique tourism products to attract tourists; supporting enterprises participating in the famtrip delegations to survey, link with other localities nationwide.


Launching the campaign to clean up environment and enhance community awareness: constructing standard sanitary works; mobilizing locals to implement civilized lifestyle...

 

Launching discount campaign in low season: encouraging tourism enterprises, tour operators, hotels, restaurants to discount 10-30% in the low season (from August to October); and also actively register to participate in trade-tourism fairs at home and abroad...

 

Dak Lak Tourism strives to welcome 46,000 international tourist arrivals and 419,000 domestic ones in 2013, contribute to creating the Dak Lak tourism's image as a friendly and attractive destination for tourists.
