Twelve businesses sought partners and some others signed memoranda of understanding or contracts with partners at the Ha Long Trade, Gastronomy Culture and Tourism Week, said Quang Ninh Television.
The eight-day event has officially closed, after putting on various activities and attracting tens of thousands of visitors. With 200 booths from 20 provinces and cities nationwide, including 34 booths of Quang Ninh businesses, this year’s week featured major products on tourism promotion, national gastronomy and domestic commercial commodities.
The event was highlighted by the display of apricot trees recognized with Vietnam’s and Asia’s Guinness records. The apricot trees were grafted by well-known politicians, spokespersons and dozens of artists and successful businessmen with the theme “Joining hands for a brighter future”.
With the hope of promoting national goal programme for building new rural areas, the week included a seminar on green and sustainable breeding which introduced the latest information and modern technology about green agriculture to help local farmers gain knowledge to increase productivity, as well as ensure the quality of the province’s agricultural products to compete with others from overseas.
The week also involved other activities such as Hoa Binh gongs culture performance, gastronomy festivals and Bac Ninh folk songs performance.
