130 photos of Vietnamese traditional cultural festivals are on display at an exhibition which opened in the northern port city of Hai Phong on January 22.
Photos reflect Vietnamese nature, land and people, its traditional cultural beauties and specialities of the Vietnamese ethnic minority groups.
The exhibition helps visitor understand more about the clothes, communal cultural activities, religious rituals, belief and customs, folk games and festivals, tangible and intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO as world cultural heritages, regional cultural identities.
The exhibition also displayed nearly 500 historical documentary photos and a 60-square-meter poster by many authors, reflecting the basic process of Hai Phong urban establishment and development.
This activity is held to welcome the lunar new year and mark the 84th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The exhibition, held by the Department of Photography Fine Arts and Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Hai Phong city Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will run until February 6.
