From Ha Tien Township, tourists reach the lagoon by boat with the best option taking a wooden boat from Cu Dut Wharf. On the journey, tourists will be rewarded splendid surroundings with Ngu Ho Mountain imposingly standing at the front of To Chau Mountain Range in the distance. The lagoon is like a private lake and another world away from the bustling outside world in the mainland.

The lake is covered by layers of water coconut lines and perfect tranquility as well as having a pure atmosphere. The lagoon is still considered a natural reserve of the Mekong Delta.

On Monday, the lagoon is settled by a few households located a few hundred meters away. There are no vehicles, factories or markets. Therefore, the rustic scene makes visitors indulge in the nation’s past.

People here live by processing coconut leaves to make roofs for homes and raising shrimp. Currently, there are no tours to the lake from HCMC, so tourists can take a three-day-and-two-night trip from the Ha Tien Trade and Tourism Promotion Center.

Tourists are recommended to visit the lagoon on a full-moon day to admire the beauty of the moon twinkling on the lake. One activity that tourists should not miss is taking a boat cruise around the lagoon to learn more about the daily life of locals as well as enjoying fresh seafood made in local style.
