There are 9 main activities in the framework of the festival including Hai Phong Tourism Golf Tournament in Do Son Golf Course; the ceremony to receive the certificate of Vietnamese Heritage Tree (Rang Thi Area, Ngoc Xuyen Communal House, Ngoc Xuyen Ward, Do Son District); Dragon Boat Racing Festival on sea and performance of paragliding at Area 1 Do Son; the opening ceremony of Hai Phong – Do Son Tourism Festival 2014 in Hon Dau International Resort; the opening ceremony of the Youth Football Tournament in Dam Vuong Course; Sea Fishing Contest in Hon Dau International Resort; Do Son Open Tourism Tennis Tournament in Do Son Stadium and some other locations; bicycle race at Area 1 Do Son.

The opening ceremony of Hai Phong – Do Son Tourism Festival 2014 with attractive art program and spectacular firework performance will be broadcasted live on Hai Phong Radio and Television (THP) at 20h00 on 30 April 2014.

To prepare for the festival, People’s Committee of Do Son District focused on ensuring security, traffic safety, environmental sanitation; setting up the hotline for tourists; improving the quality of accommodation facilities, posting up the price at tourism businesses... Currently, Do Son has 135 accommodation establishments with 3,474 rooms and 44 restaurants.

Hai Phong – Do Son Tourism Festival 2014 is the opportunity to promote the beauty and the tourism potentials of Do Son as well as Hai Phong City for attracting more domestic and foreign tourists.
