Viet Nam to promote tourism on BBC channel
Update: Sep 09, 2014
The Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) has proposed BBC Television of the UK develop a 30-second video clip advertising Viet Nam’s tourism and broadcast it on the BBC channel in the Asia-Pacific region.

At a recent working session with BBC representatives, VNAT General Director Nguyen Van Tuan suggested that the clip be on air three times per day over three months.

The filming process will take place in famous tourist destinations across Viet Nam such as Ha Noi, Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh, Quang Binh, Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City.

In the first seven months of this year, the country welcomed over 4.85 million foreign tourists, a year-on-year rise of 15.6 percent.

The tourism sector will strive to serve 8 million foreign and 37.5 million domestic tourists this year, grossing 240 billion VND (11.2 million USD) in revenue.
