The Sai Gon Travel Service Company (Saigontourist) welcomed nearly 2,200 tourists and crew members sailing aboard the five-star cruise liner Celebrity Millennium, which docked at the Hon Gai port in the northern province of Quang Ninh on November 12.
The visitors, mostly from the US, the UK, Canada and Australia, are scheduled to embark on a five-day tour along the coast of Viet Nam calling at Ha Long, Hue, Vung Tau.
After docking at the Hon Gai port, the passengers went on a tour to Ha Long Bay, Ha Long seafood market, and Yen Tu historical site before moving on to the capital city of Ha Noi. In Ha Noi, the visitors will have a chance to visit Chua Mot Cot (One Pillar Pagoda), the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature), cycle around Ha Noi's Old Quarter, and enjoy water puppetry.
They will arrive in Thua Thien – Hue province on November 14, visit Thien Mu Pagoda, Dai Noi (Royal Palace) and enjoy Hue royal court music (Nha nhac) before visiting Hoi An ancient town and Tra Que vegetable village in Quang Nam province.
The ship will then continue to Ba Ria – Vung Tau on November 16 to visit Vung Tau city, exploring the daily life of local people and their traditional trades.
Before finishing the tour on the evening of November 16, the visitors will visit Ho Chi Minh City and My Tho City in Tien Giang Province.

This is the cruise liner’s visit to Vietnam organised by leading Vietnamese tour operator Saigontourist. The company has already welcomed 171 international cruise ships carrying a total of 194,617 passengers and crew members since the beginning of this year.
