Vietnamese and international poets performed their works in their mother tongue and in English at the 2nd Pacific – Asian poetry festival which opened in Ha Noi on March 2nd.
Poem performances were held together with traditional music performances and shows on Vietnamese ao dai to introduce Vietnamese specific culture to international friends.
The festival aimed to promote the unique attributes and values of Vietnamese literature among international communities, as well as broaden the international understanding of Vietnamese culture and people.
It was also an opportunity for Vietnamese authors to meet with foreign translators, literature researchers and publishers, and promote Vietnamese works internationally.
