(TITC) – From June 25 – 26, 2015, VNAT’s delegation led by General Director Nguyen Van Tuan had meetings with the Belarusian, Spanish, British, French and Italian Embassies in Viet Nam.

At the meetings, General Director Nguyen Van Tuan informed about Vietnamese Government’s approval of visa waiver for citizens of the Republic of Belarus (in 5 years) and the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain and Italy (in 1 year) from July 1, 2015. This will contribute to boosting bilateral cooperation and luring more tourists from these countries to Viet Nam.
The General Director called for the Embassies’ help in organizing presstrip delegations to Viet Nam to explore and popularize information about Viet Nam – a destination with beautiful landscapes, rich cuisine and friendly, hospitable people. VNAT intends to organize roadshows to introduce Viet Nam tourism in these markets with the participation of travel agencies and journalists.
The Ambassadors expressed their appreciation and pleasure to Vietnamese Government’s approval of the visa waiver and announced that the information has been provided extensively through media, social network. The Ambassadors also agreed to the proposal of General Director Nguyen Van Tuan and hoped that the visa exemption policy will be extended in the future to facilitate the exchange of tourists between Viet Nam and these countries.
