(TITC) – On July 14, 2015, Director General of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan had a meeting with Governor of Gifu Province, Mr. Furuta Hajime in Ha Noi.
Speaking at the meeting, Director General Nguyen Van Tuan emphasized warm traditional relationship between Viet Nam and Japan. Japan has always been a strategic partner of Viet Nam, particularly in the field of tourism. In 2014, the number of Vietnamese tourists visiting Japan increased by 53% over the same period of 2013 and is forecasted to reach over 200,000 arrivals this year.
Mr. Furuta Hajime expressed his thanks for the warm welcome of VNAT. Gifu province is located in Tokai (Japan), being endowed with a lot of high mountains, peaceful natural scenery, gentle people and ancient culture… Mr. Furuta Hajime hoped that the two countries will strengthen the exchange and cooperation in many fields, particularly tourism.
On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan also extended his invitation to Gifu Province to participate in ITE HCMC 2015. In October, VNAT will hold a famtrip to Japan, including Gifu.
