From the Lam Binh boat pier, visitors spend about an hour crossing Na Hang - Lam Binh lake, whose mirror-like surface reflects the limestone mountains rising vertically from the water. As you approach the waterfall, the sound of rushing water grows louder and louder and Khuoi Nhi gradually reveals itself.

The waterfall descends over multiple tiers, each tier a white silk ribbon flowing over moss-covered rocks. Sunlight filters through the forest canopy, casting a shimmering light on the water and adding a mystical glow to the scene. Khuoi Nhi waterfall is the most popular spot in the Na Hang - Lam Binh reservoir area.

Dang Quoc Su, Director of Tuyen Quang’s Tourism Promotion Center, said: “Khuoi Nhi is a beautiful waterfall that has retained its pristine beauty and offers visitors a rewarding experience during their journey across the Na Hang reservoir.”

Khuoi Nhi waterfall has three tiers, and the higher you go, the more the water divides into small streams that flow over rock formations and form natural pools. Some visitors bathe in the cool water of the larger pools to ease their tired muscles. Others search for the best spot from which to capture a great photograph of nature’s beauty. 

A tourist from Phu Tho province said: “We were really excited. We travelled a long way, but when we arrived here, we felt it had been worthwhile. The fish massage was really enjoyable. It felt like I was being gently acupunctured by the little creatures.”

Khuoi Nhi’s charming landscape encourages a slower pace, and the sounds of nature all around you remind you to listen to your inner voice. Hiking the trail up to the top of the waterfall releases the stresses of urban life. One experience at Khuoi Nhi that almost everyone enjoys is the free fish massage.

Nguyen Lan Phuong from Hanoi said: “After a difficult trek comes a few moments of relaxation and joy. The clear water, the scenery, the fish swimming around made me feel so relaxed. I’d heard about the fish nibbling on your feet, but I didn’t expect it to feel quite this good.”

As the sun dips behind the mountain range, the last rays of light reflect off the waterfall, creating a brilliant golden glow. In that moment, Khuoi Nhi waterfall looks like a shimmering silk ribbon draped across the ancient forest.
