One hundred and seventy three photos on the land and people in the northern mountainous region are being showcased at an exhibition which officially kicked off in Cao Bang province on November 10.

The art photo exhibition attracts a number of visitors

The photos are the top entries from the 15th art photo festival for the northern mountainous region themed ‘The land and people of the northern mountainous region nowadays’ and ‘The homeland’s rivers’.
As of September 15, the festival received nearly 2,300 entries by 320 both professional and amateur photographers from 15 provinces in the region.
All works reflect the imposing and picturesque nature of the northern mountainous region, the daily life of people as well as unique cultural identities of the ethnic minority groups here.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the organising board presented gold medals to two photos entitled ‘Cloud Fall’ by Nguyen Thien Hung from Lao Cai and ‘Border Patrol’ by Hoang Duong from Vinh Phuc.
Four silver, six bronze and eight consolation prizes also went to other high-quality entries. Additionally the Literature and Arts Association in Vinh Phuc, Lao Cai and Son La provinces won the team awards.
The exhibition will last through November 12.
