Viet Nam promotes tourism in France

(TITC) - On November 9, 2015, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) in coordination with the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines held a "Viet Nam Tourism Roadshow" program to promote Viet Nam tourism in France.

The event was a chance for Viet Nam to advertise the nation’s images, people, culture and tourist products to the French public as well as for tourism businesses of the two countries to seek cooperation opportunities.

France is one of important source markets in Europe sending tourists to Viet Nam. More and more French tourists are choosing Viet Nam as one of their safe, friendly and attractive destinations. Viet Nam served 213,745 French tourists last year and 172,791 French tourists in the first ten month of 2015.

At the event, Viet Nam introduced about open door policies to lure French and European holidaymakers to Viet Nam including recent visa exemptions for French, German, British, Spanish, Italian and Belarusian citizens starting from July 1, 2015.

In addition, a variety of tourism products and travel routes were introduced to French visitors. Vietnam Airlines also announced the recent operation of the top-class Airbus A350 on Ha Noi/Ho Chi Minh City - Paris routes.

Earlier, VNAT also participated in WTM 2015 in Excel London Exhibition Centre (UK) from November 2-5, 2015. Another roadshows will be launched in Spain’s Barcelona and Germany’s Frankfurt in the coming days.
