The People’s Committee of the central city of Da Nang presented a flag to the Cham Sculpture Museum in recognition of its achievements in preserving and promoting cultural heritages.
The presentation took place at the ceremony marking the 100th founding anniversary of the museum, held on November 25th.
Since 2008, the museum has welcomed more than 1.3 million visitors, including over 1.2 million foreigners, contributing VND 43 billion to the city’s budget.
The museum is being upgraded at a cost of more than VND 46 billion. It will be a destination of the participants of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit to be hosted by the city in 2017.
