VNAT works with Chief representative of Hanatour in Ho Chi Minh City

(TITC) – On April 1st 2016, in Ha Noi, Deputy Director General of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) Ngo Hoai Chung had a meeting with Chief representativeof Hanatour (South Korea) in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr Bong-ki Ryu.

At the meeting, Mr Bong-ki Ryu informed Hanatour will hold the 10th International Travel Fair at KINTEX in Seoul, South Korea, from June 9-12, 2016. This will be one of 10 largest Travel Fairs of South Korea attracting the attendance of many local tourism businesses to promote their unique tourist products, he added. In 2015, the Fair welcomed more than 100,000 visitors. At the meeting, Mr Bong-ki Ryu invited VNAT to take part in the coming Travel Fair to promote Viet Nam tourism.

For his part, Deputy Director General Ngo Hoai Chung said South Korea is one of key markets sending tourists to Viet Nam. In March, 2016 Viet Nam welcomed 116,593 South Korean arrivals; and 408,157 arrivals in the first three months of 2016, up 30.0% over the same period last year. In addition, S.Korea is a country of unique historic and cultural values, with charming natural landscapes and popular tourist services which have been attracting many Vietnamese tourists. He hoped that the operation of Hanatour in Viet Nam will contribute to uphold the cooperation of tourism businesses between the two countries in the coming time.
