First Viet Nam’s fruit week to be held in Southern city
Update: May 30, 2016
From June 1st to 7th, the Viet Nam’s fruit week will be organized in Ho Chi Minh City for the first time by the municipal Department of Tourism in coordination with other organizers.

According to the organizers, the program will be widely implemented in hotels, commercial centres, supermarkets, markets, and stores specializing in fruit trading in the Southern hub, with various abundant and attractive activities.

The event aims to promote the value of Viet Nam’s fruit and help planters in Southwestern-Eastern provinces, which are facing soil salinisation and drought, to consume safe fruit.

Through the program, people and tourists will gain more trusted addresses for safe fruit traders. In addition, customers will be provided with useful information on safe fruit, with numerous attractive preferences.

During the fruit week, Co.op Mart and Co.op Xtra supermarkets will offer at least seven kinds of fruit with 20-35% discounts. Specifically, the organizers will arrange zones for testing fruit originated from Viet Nam.
