The Ovation of the Seas, one of the largest cruise ships of Royal Caribbean International Group, from the UK, docked at Phu My port in the coastal southern province of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province on June 14, carrying more than 4,300 tourists.
This is the first time the liner has arrived in Viet Nam and the Saigon Travel Service Company (Saigontourist) received passengers and crewmembers.
After docking, visitors joined services to discover the region as well as enjoy cuisine of Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.
The ship left Phu My port later the same day and continued its voyage to Hong Kong (China).
The ship in the luxurious new Quantum Class, the Ovation of the Seas is the latest ship of Royal Caribbean International Group. Featuring 18 decks, measuring 348m in length and with a gross tonnage of 168,666 tonnes, the Ovation of the Seas cruise ship can reach a maximum speed of 22 knots even when at its maximum passenger capacity of 4,905 (4,180 double occupancy).
The Ovation of the Seas features an outstanding range of on board facilities and boasts some ground breaking at sea activities and attractions including Broadway shows, North Star capsule suspended 92 metres above sea level and spa, a nine meter climbing wall, casino royale, children’s pools and many other technological innovations.
