Update: Oct 20, 2025
According to the Luc Hon Commune People’s Committee, the 2025 Yellow Harvest Festival will officially kick off on October 25 at Luc Na temple, marking the start of the autumn-winter tourism season.

Alongside the paragliding program “Flying over the yellow season,” this year’s festival also features a variety of new and exciting cultural and tourism activities.

The event is expected to be a major highlight in the commune’s 2025 tourism development plan.

Taking place as Luc Hon’s terraced rice fields turn a brilliant shade of gold, the festival offers visitors a stunning natural landscape alongside rich cultural experiences. The opening ceremony will feature vibrant highland performances celebrating the beauty of labor, harvest, and the borderland way of life.

Throughout the festival, visitors can join a variety of engaging activities, exploring and photographing the golden terraced fields, checking in along the colorful Khe O Flower Route, attending the Tay ethnic group’s New Rice Ceremony, or taking part in “Flying over the yellow season”, a paragliding experience offering breathtaking aerial views of the valleys.

For adventure lovers, trekking trips to Cao Xiem peak promise unforgettable memories, while the OCOP exhibition showcases local handicrafts, specialties, and highland cuisine.

Guests can also take part in community-based tours themed “Stay at the village - Eat with the locals - Work like the locals”, learning to make vermicelli, plant mustard flowers, dance the bamboo pole dance, and cook traditional Tay dishes.

Set amid the rice harvest, the 2025 yellow harvest festival is not only a joyful celebration of ethnic culture but also a chance for travelers to discover the charm and warmth of Vietnam’s borderland communities.
