Turning old apartments into coffee shops has become increasingly trendy in HCMC, especially in the central business districts.
At these apartment cafés, guests do not have to worry about noisy city life. Normally, they have to park their motorbikes downstairs or somewhere around apartment buildings that have no parking lots, and walk into small alleys or climb old, dark staircases with shabby walls.
Customers can see hustling and bustling activity on the street from these coffee houses or simply enjoy coffee in a quiet space.
People can find an apartment-turned-café at around 10 buildings in the city, including 14 Ton That Dam Condo on Nguyen Van Binh Street, which features Banksy, Mockingbird, Things, Other Person, Ly Tu Trong Condo on Ly Tu Trong Street, which is home to Luth Cafe, Bong Cai Xanh, and Cua so mat troi, and those on Pasteur Street with She Café and Gabi Coffee.
These cafés are decorated either in modern or vintage style.
