(TITC) – On the occasion of 56th anniversary of Viet Nam's tourism sector (July 9, 1960 - 2016), on 9 July, at the Ha Noi Opera House, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) in collaboration with Viet Nam Tourism Association (VITA) held a ceremony to announce the winners of 17th Viet Nam Tourism Award.

In his speech, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thien highly valued the efforts and contribution of business community to the development of Viet Nam tourism. Tourism has increasingly been contributing to GDP, job creation and fostering other industries. Viet Nam tourism is striving to become a key economic sector of the country.
At the ceremony, 105 Vietnamese leading tourism enterprises were awarded, including:
