(TITC) - In the evening of 22 June 2016, the opening ceremony of Summer Tourism Festival 2016 with theme “Quy Nhon – Binh Dinh – returning to the memorial sea” will take place in the central square of Binh Dinh Province.
This is the beginning activity in the chain of culture and tourism activities of Quy Nhon – Binh Dinh Tourism Festival 2016 taking place from 22 June to 2 September 2016. The event aims to promote potentials and position brand of Quy Nhon – Binh Dinh tourism; at the same time towards building the summer tourism festival as an annual festival of Binh Dinh tourism, contribute to attracting more and more domestic and foreign visitors.
The stage of the opening ceremony is set elaborately with harmonious combination of image, audio and light to recreate the overview picture about sea tourism potentials and strengths as well as unique cultural features of Binh Dinh Province.
The opening ceremony will also include motor parade carnival to introduce the beautiful beaches in Binh Dinh Province, such as: Quy Nhon, Ky Co, Eo Gio, Hon Kho… also Cham culture, Tay Son spirit, traditional martial arts, bai choi folk songs… Especially, the art fireworks performance will leave many unforgettable feelings for visitors.
In the framework of the opening ceremony, People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province will announce Quy Nhon – Binh Dinh Tourism Festival 2016 with many attractive culture, sports and tourism activities such as: Children festival in Quy Nhon City; Binh Dinh Provincial Coastal Culture - Sports Festival in Hoai Nhon District; Green Tourism Week; inauguration of FLC Nhon Ly Resort; Miss Viet Nam Heritage Global contest; Viet Nam – Binh Dinh International Traditional Martial Arts Festival 2016; tourism tennis tournament 2016…
In 2015, the number of visitors to Binh Dinh Province reached over 2.6 million arrivals, an increase of 25% compared to 2014. The Summer Tourism Festival 2016 in particular and Quy Nhon – Binh Dinh Tourism Festival 2016 in general are expected to create favorable conditions to attract more visitors to Binh Dinh in the next years.
