The Association of South East Asian Nation (ASEAN) member countries’ representatives in the UK and Norway have held cultural exchanges to celebrate the 49th founding anniversary of ASEAN (August 8).
The ASEAN Committee in London hosted the ASEAN Family Festival, hosting more than 400 representatives from the bloc and the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
Participants could take part in folk games and enjoy traditional food from ASEAN countries.
On the occasion, embassies from Viet Nam, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines and Thailand held an ASEAN Cultural Night in Oslo, Norway.
The event featured folk music, dances and the cuisine of ASEAN nations.
Founded in 1967, ASEAN groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam.
