The organising board of the Japanese cherry blossom exhibition has announced that it will feature an additional 5,000 cherry blossom branches, raising the total number to 12,000 cherry blossom branches instead of 7,000 branches as originally planned.
The number of cherry blossom branches aims to meet the demand of visitors; the extra will also help to replace dead or withered branches during the exhibition.
In addition, the exhibition will showcase 150 cherry blossom trees. The trees are transported by sea while the blossom branches are delivered to Ha Noi by air.
In addition to the display of cherry blossoms, numerous activities will also take place at the cultural exchange, including traditional art performances by Vietnamese and Japanese artists.
The display is part of a cultural exchange festival between Viet Nam and Japan due to take place at Ly Thai To Statue area in Hoan Kiem District between March 10-12.
The event aims to promote and introduce the beauty of Japan’s culture to local people and enhance tourism and economic co-operation between Ha Noi and Japan.
