Activities at the Viet Nam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in October

The Management Board of the Viet Nam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism will organize diverse activities related to Khmer ethnic cultural specialties in southern Viet Nam.

Activities will re-enact the Sen Dolta Festival of the Khmer ethnic minority group in Soc Trang province, Kathina Festival, Khmer ethnic special cultural highlight space in Southern Viet Nam.

Accordingly, about 100 photos on ethnic groups in the Mekong River Delta, as well as photos on the beauty of Southern Viet Nam such as Cai Rang floating market in Can Tho, Cai Be floating market in Tien Giang, Long Xuyen floating market in An Giang, Tra On floating market in Vinh Long, fruit gardens, rivers and fields in Southwestern Viet Nam, Khmer pagodas and beautiful girls in Southwestern Viet Nam, will be on display.

On the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival 2017, performances of traditional toy making and folk games will be held.

About 20 photos on childhood by photographers Nguyen Phu Duc, Pham Quoc Dung will be introduced at an exhibition entitled “Childhood memories”.

In addition, there are also daily and weekend activities and homestay tourism programmes to introduce culture and customs of ethnic minority groups at the village, contributing to promote cultural exchanges among ethnic groups and attract tourism to the village.
