Surveying destinations and meeting tour operators in Iran

(TITC) - On 11 December 2017, in Isfahan – the famous tourist city of Iran, the delegation of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and Vietnamese tour operators had the working meeting with Iranian tour operators.

The meeting had the attendances of Vietnamese Ambassador to Iran Nguyen Hong Thach, representative of Isfahan’s Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Authority, Isfahan Tourism Association, and tour operators of the two countries.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Alahgari, Head of Isfahan’s Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Authority, welcomed the presence of the Vietnamese delegation in Isfahan. Dr. Alahgari emphasized Isfahan is the famous tourist city with about 2,400 landscape and relic sites, 7 world heritage sites recognized by UNESCO. In 2015, Isfahan was chosen as World Crafts City by the World Crafts Council (WCC).

At the meeting, the video about Viet Nam tourism was introduced to the delegates and Iranian tour operators. Iranian tour operators expressed interest in Vietnamese tourism – a new, potential and attractive market for Iranian visitors. Viet Nam with beautiful beaches, a lot of world heritage, diversified topography, attractive cuisine, friendly and hospitable people is attractive destination for Iranian visitors.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Iran Nguyen Hong Thach and Deputy Chief of Office of VNAT Bui Duy Hung thanked the warm welcoming of Iranian tour operators and shared a good feeling about Iran containing many unique cultural heritage properties and beautiful landscapes. They also hope the meeting will be the good opportunity for tour operators of Iran and Viet Nam to connect and strengthen visitor exchange between the two countries.

From 5 to 12 December 2017, accepting the invitation of Vietnamese Ambassador to Iran, the delegation of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and 14 Vietnamese tour operators have conducted the fam trip to Iran. This is the first time VNAT and Vietnamese tour operators to Iran to survey, connect and seek opportunities for tourism development cooperation between the two countries. During the fam trip, VNAT delegation visited and surveyed famous destinations such as Iran National Museum, Tehran Television Tower, mosques, Persian Gardens, Presepolis, Grand Bazaar, etc.
