The main purpose of this competition is to look for startup projects nationwide with sound solutions, feasible products and high technological contents in line with the city’s tourism development.

Entries should be registered and sent at the address: goo.gl/DNdBv9 until July 15.

The participating projects will have a chance to get funding from the city’s program for supporting startups projects called SpeedUp, with priority given to startup ideas about travel, accommodation, tourist transport, and payment for the sector.

They will be evaluated based on factors such as novelty, innovation, technology application, economic efficiency, and social impact.

The organizers expect to receive some 40 projects, and then 20 projects will go to mentoring and training rounds. The final round will take place in October on the occasion of the city’s Innovative Startups in Tourism Week.

Also at the launching ceremony, the two departments inked a cooperation agreement to join hands in mobilizing resources to further develop the city’s tourism sector.
