Photo exhibition “I love Viet Nam” opens in Ha Noi

(TITC) – On 5 July 2018, a ceremony was held in Ha Noi to give prizes of the 8th National Tourism Art Photography Contest  and open the photo exhibition “I love Viet Nam”.    

The 8th National Tourism Art Photography Contest was organized by Viet Nam Tourism Review (Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism) in the collaboration with Viet Nam Association of Photographics Artists. This is one of the significant activities in commemoration of  the 58th anniversary of Viet Nam's tourism sector (July 9, 1960-2018); at the same time, it contributes to enriching the image database for tourism promotion and raising the community’s awareness of tourism.

The contest ran from January to June 2018 and received 16,370 entries by 969 authors, including foreign authors from Canada, France, Japan and Russia. The photos featured themes of Vietnamese magnificient landscapes, daily life, typical festivals, attractive cutural and tourist activities…

184 entries were selected for photo exhibition; and 11 ones for best photo awards (including one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and five consolation prizes). In addition, the Organization Committee gave two sub-awards for the most liked photo and the most shared photo on the facebook of Viet Nam Tourism Review (www.facebook.com/VietnamTourismReview).

 Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong – Vice Chairwoman of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism valued the success of the contest with the increasing scale and quality. She emphasized that this contest also showed sentiments of visitors, especially photographers for Viet Nam tourism.

 The photo exhibition takes place from 5 – 11 July 2018 at National Museum of History (1 Pham Ngu Lao St., Hoan Kiem, Ha Noi).
