Seeing the painting

The event is held on the occasion of Hoi An joining the UNESCO Global Creative Cities Network and welcoming 2024.

Hoi An seems to be poeticised in the paintings. It becomes changed and flexible through the artists’ works.

In the paintings at the exhibition, visitors can find the winding of the Hoai River flowing through Hoi An city, where a busy international trading port used to be located.

They can also contemplate the beauties of small mossy alleys, flickering coloured lanterns, or the charming primitiveness of a corner of the ancient quarter.

Visitors to the exhibition

The art of painting becomes a bridge connecting Hoi An soul and breath to visitors.

The paintings exhibited at the event are works by Nguyen Nhu Duc, Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Pham Minh Duc, and Vu Trong Anh. With a love for Hoi An, four artists help visitors make a new discovery of Hoi An through their paintings.

Visitors can enjoy the brilliance and colourfulness of spring in the Hoi An ancient quarter through Vu Trong Anh’s paintings, the brightness of its summer via Nguyen Nhu Duc’s works, the charming beauty of Hoi An autumn through Pham Minh Duc’s works, and its mysterious and peaceful atmosphere in Nguyen Ngoc Tuan’s ones.

A lot of works by four artists, Vu Trong Anh, Nguyen Nhu Duc, Pham Minh Duc, and Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, have been exhibited at Art House Gallery. They are attractive to both local and foreign visitors.

These paintings take part not only in local exhibitions but also in international ones.

The exhibition will last until January 15, 2024.
