Vietnam, China to build border tourism complex
Update: Jul 22, 2010
The Huu Nghi-Huu Nghi Quan (Friendship-Friendship Gate) tourism complex will be built across the border of Vietnam and China to bolster the two countries’ friendship and cooperative relations.

The authorities of the northern border province of Lang Son and a working delegation from Guangxi, China gathered in Lang Son on July 21 to discuss the construction.

At the gathering, the two sides agreed to set up a joint mission for the complex in preparation for the construction of another tourism cooperation complex, which will be connected through Tan Thanh border gate of Vietnam and Po Chai of China.

The two sides will also organise tours for visitors to explore the two countries’ border provinces.

The content of the meeting will be turned into a memorandum of understanding that will be signed and implemented this year.
