VNAT's leaders receive Russian famtrip delegation

(TITC)- On January 24, General Director of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) Nguyen Van Tuan, Deputy Director of VNAT Nguyen Quoc Hung and leaders of Travel Department and Tourism Marketing Department had a meeting with Russian famtrip delegation.

The famtrip delegation was led by Mr. Alekseev Vergey, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Board - Russia Television Station (Russian-1) and the representatives of other famous television stations and tourism companies. The trip lasted from January 22 - 28, 2013.

 

Speaking at the meeting, General Director Nguyen Van Tuan expressed his pleasure to welcome representatives of well known Russia television stations. Russia and Viet Nam have had good relationship. Vietnamese people always remember the support of Russia in the process of liberation, unification and building the country.

 

Thanks to the good relationship, Viet Nam - Russia tourism also has developed. Although the number of Russian tourists to Viet Nam was still low, it has grown fast in recent years. In 2010, Viet Nam welcomed 50,000 Russian tourist arrivals, by 2012 this figure reached 174,287, an increase of 71.49% compared with 2011. The two countries have great potentials to boost this figure up in the coming time.

 

General Director Nguyen Van Tuan said that Viet Nam's tourism industry has made great efforts to create specific tourism products in order to attract and meet the needs of international tourists, especially Russian tourists. He hoped that the famtrip will help to introduce the nature, culture, cuisine and the warm heart of the Vietnamese to the Russian.

 

Mr. Alekseev Vergey said that he visited Viet Nam 25 years ago and he surprised with the rapid change now. Over the time, Ha Long tourism has well developed to meet tourists demand on sightseeing, relaxing, enjoying local cuisine ... He hoped to contribute to promoting the unique features of Viet Nam to the Russian.

 

He informed that the film crew will produce a film to introduce Viet Nam's attractions, traditional culture, and local people through the journey in Viet Nam to broadcast on Russia TV channels which have large audience. After the meeting, the famtrip will visit tourist destinations in the Central and South of Viet Nam.
