Phu My Hung Flower Festival 2013 opened at The Crescent in Phu My Hung urban area in District 7, bringing peaceful and stunning countryside landscapes to the city to give locals and foreigners a chance to soak up the Tet atmosphere.
With installation of rustic images of the countryside such as bamboo bridges, cottages, river banks and melon trellis in harmony with multicolored flowers, the area gives visitors an insight into Vietnamese culture. The project is carried out on an area of seven hectares, including sections of spring street, spring bank, spring garden and spring giving area, food area, 500 booths of flowers, bonsai and ornamental trees, Tet specialties and 200 booths of other enterprises.
The highlight of the festival is the display of more than 200 products made of recycled materials such as a sofa set made from tires, a bookcase made from a guitar box, a swing made from power wire, an aquarium made from a computer screen and a bird cage made from a fan.
Apart from the chance to enjoy many specialties of the three regions, visitors will be entertained by nightly artistic shows.
The festival, organized by Phu My Hung Joint Venture Company, will run until Friday.
