On March 28th, a show on world heritage sites of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam opened at the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture, under the regulation of UNESCO in Vietnam in combination with nine museums of the three countries.
The show not only provides visitors useful and valuable information on heritages, but also provides a point of exchange in economics, culture, society, as well as historical relations, among the three neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia.
UNESCO's selection of the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture among the group of museums participating in this project showed the appreciation of UNESCO for the preservation and promotion of values of world heritages in general, and especially of My Son world heritage in particular.
During the implementation of the project, the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture will coordinate with UNESCO to carry out annual educational activities, involving pupils at primary and secondary schools in the locality. Accordingly, these pupils will get free entrance tickets to the museum on all weekdays.
The show will run until March 2014.
