Update: Jul 02, 2013
The Puppetry and Folk Games Festival of the South region opened in Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province on June 30, bringing together 400 artists from 19 children's houses in the region.

Puppeteers from 11 troupes delight audiences with their excellent and unique plays in various types of shadow, string and rod puppetry.

Children to the festival also have the opportunity to enjoy various folk games such as hide-and-seek, cock fighting, marble playing and kite playing at Doi Duong park.

During the three-day event, the artists deliver free performances to children living in difficulties in Ham Thuan Bac and Ham Thuan Nam districts and Ham Tien ward.

The event provides a rendezvous for children to entertain on summer holidays, contributing to preserving and promoting traditional art forms and games among the younger generation.
