(TITC) - Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee promulgated Decision No. 81/QD-UBND on approving Project of “Community-based Tourism Development in Bac Giang Province in the period of 2014 – 2020” with total investment of nearly VND 42 billion.
This is one of the projects prioritized for investment of Bac Giang Tourism Development Program in the period of 2011 - 2015. Accordingly, the project of “Community-based Tourism Development in Bac Giang Province in the period of 2014 - 2020” aims to develop community-based tourism into an attractive tourist product, contribute to preserving and upholding cultural values, help local people to reduce poverty and contribute to boost local tourism.
Besides, the project also proposes specific tasks on training human resources for community-based tourism, such supporting activities as investment in infrastructure and equipments for each household participating in community-based tourism project, as well as promoting tourism.
The project will be implemented in two phase: from 2014 - 2016, Bac Giang will build model of community-based tourism in An Lac Commune, Son Dong District; from 2016 - 2020, the province will continue to develop the model in some potential spots in districts of Luc Ngan, Son Dong, Luc Nam and Yen The.
