(TITC) - On 29 May, 2014, General Director Nguyen Van Tuan had meetings with leaders of representative offices of some National Tourism Organizations (NTOs) in Viet Nam including South Korea, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.
At the meetings, General Director Nguyen Van Tuan emphasized that Viet Nam always has good relationships in many areas with South Korea, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia, particularly in tourism field. He highly appreciated the operation of these NTOs’ representative offices in Viet Nam which has been contributing to the promotion of Vietnamese outbound tourists and also supporting to attract int’l visitors to Viet Nam.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan affirmed that in spite of the recent East Sea tensions, Viet Nam remains a safe and friendly destination for all int’l visitors. He suggested the NTOs’ representative offices to inform their citizens and travel businesses about stabilized situation, friendly environment and tourism activities in Viet Nam.
Sharing experience in coping with crises, leaders of NTOs’ representative offices suggested Viet Nam to develop an action plan to react to crises; strengthen communication within the country and overseas to promote Viet Nam’s tourism image; focus on domestic and intra-ASEAN tourism markets; release insurance policies for int’l visitors; open more int’l direct flights…
