Accordingly, there will be 2 flights a week on Thursdays and Sundays on Phu Quoc – Singapore route by Airbus 321 aircraft; and 3 flights a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays on Phu Quoc – Siem Reap route (the gateway to the world-famous Angkor temple complex, which includes the magnificent Angkor Wat), using ATR72 aircraft.

These are the first ever international routes to Phu Quoc island district in the southern province of Kien Giang (covering around 593 square kilometer with 22 islands) operated by Vietnam Airlines, thus paving the way for key projects along with the master plan to develop the nation’s biggest island into a centrally-administered special economic zone in the future.

Vietnam Airlines also plans to open more routes from Phu Quoc island to other locations in the Southeast Asia, actively contributes to the tourism campaign “Five nations – One destination” with the participation of Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar and Viet Nam.

On this opening occasion, the carrier offers a promotional program for passengers. Two-way ticket purchased for Phu Quoc – Singapore route between September 26 to November 30 is VND388,000 (around USD18); will be applicable for flights departing from November 2 - 30, 2014. While two-way ticket purchased for Phu Quoc – Siem Reap route between September 30 to December 31 is VND1,388,000 (around USD63); will be applicable for flights departing from December 18, 2014 to January 31, 2015.

These special prices (not including taxes, surcharges and certain conditions) can be changed following the interest rate at the time of ticket purchasing (from USD to VND currency).
