More than 100 works by artists from Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) are on display at an exhibition that opened on October 1 in Ha Noi to mark 60th anniversary of Ha Noi’s Liberation (1954 -2014).

The exhibits include paintings, graphic works and sculptures depicting people, daily life and beautiful landscapes of two countries.
Materials used by Korean artists are mainly acrylic, water color and oil while traditional ones such as lacquer, oil, silk and acrylic are preferred by their Vietnamese colleagues.
The exhibition served as a rendezvous for artists from the two countries to meet and exchange with each other in their quest for art perfection.
Speaking at the opening, Park Noh Wan, Envoy and Consul General of the Republic of Korea Embassy in Viet Nam, expressed his hope that more events like this would be held in Viet Nam so that the relations between the two nations would be tightened not only in politics and economy but also in culture and the arts.
The event, co-organised by the Ha Noi Fine Arts Association and the Association of International Fine Arts Exchange Association of RoK’s Busan city, will run until October 7 at Exhibition House, 29 Hang Bai Street, Hoan Kiem district.
