Uncle Ho commemorative area in Tuan Chau island recognized as provincial historical relics

On September 29, Tuan Chau precinct People’s Committee in Ha Long city, was honoured to receive the certificate of provincial historical relics, for the Uncle Ho commemorative area in Tuan Chau island in the northern province of Quang Ninh.

The area includes a fishing pond, A1 villa and Banyan Tree hill on a total area of 65,893 m2. Uncle Ho visited the place three times in 1957, 1959 and 1962.

During his visits, Uncle Ho asked cadres and people on the island to further promote solidarity, and build a rich economy on the island which is powerful in national defence, healthy in politics and has beautiful landscapes.

The recognition as a provincial historical relic had significance in educating President Ho Chi Minh about the ethics of people in the province and nationwide.
