(TITC) - On the occasion of the 40th anniversary Southern Liberation Day (30 April 1975 – 30 April 2015), from 26 to 29 March 2015, in Zone B, 23 September Park (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), the 11th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2015 will take place with the theme “Impression of World Heritage in Viet Nam”.
The festival organized by Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Tourism, Southern Bureau (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and Ho Chi Minh City’s Tourism Association aims to create the opportunity for tourism enterprises to introduce and sell directly new tourism products and services to consumers; thereby contributing to tourism stimulation in Ho Chi Minh City and also nationwide.
Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2015 is expected to have 150 booths of Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Tourism Promotion Centres, Tourism Associations of some Southern provinces and provinces, cities which own world natural and cultural heritage sites recognized by UNESCO; representatives of national tourism promotion agencies of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore; tourist sites, entertainment areas; tour operators, hotels, restaurants, transportation companies, airlines; tourism training facilities; representatives of foreign tourism enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City...
In the festival, seven localities which own world natural and culture heritage sites recognized by UNESCO (Ha Noi, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh, Thua Thien-Hue and Quang Nam) will organize many diversified activities to highlight the images and values of heritage, such as reappearance of heritage space; display of artworks, souvenirs, postcards, publications on heritage… In addition, the tour operators, airlines and the typical units named in the list of Ho Chi Minh City – 100 interesting things will launch many promotional and preferential services for visitors.
Besides, in the framework of the festival, many other special programs and activities will be organized, including “Impression of World Heritage in Viet Nam” program to respond National Tourism Year 2015 - Thanh Hoa; photo exhibition on “Ho Chi Minh City’s tourism – 40 years of establishment and development”; photo exhibitions and art performances to honor the art forms of Viet Nam recognized as intangible cultural heritage of humanity (Vi and Giam folk songs of Nghe Tinh, art of Don ca tai tu music and song in the South, Xoan singing, Ca tru singing, Quan ho Bac Ninh folk song, Nha nhac…); travel supermarket; the ceremony honouring Ho Chi Minh City’s tourism brands; singing festival of Ho Chi Minh City tourism…
Through ten organization times, Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival contributes significantly tourism development of Ho Chi Minh City and also the South. The festival is expected to attract 300,000 visitors.
