Ba Trieu Temple recognised as special national relic site
Update: Apr 08, 2015
The Thanh Hoa province held a ceremony at Trieu Loc commune, Hau Loc district on April 7 to receive the Prime Minister's certificate recognising the Ba Trieu Temple as a Special National Relic.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, leaders of ministries, departments and Thanh Hoa province, as well as local people.

The Ba Trieu historical relic site is located about 17km north of Thanh Hoa city. The site worships Viet Nam’s heroine Trieu Thi Trinh, who raised a rebellion against Ngo invaders in third century.

The relic site, featuring historic architecture and unique art, preserves cultural treasures — including folk-songs and proverbs — of Thanh Hoa’s local people in particular, and the Vietnamese in general.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented a certificate to the district People’s Committee recognising the Ba Trieu Temple as a special national relic site.

The Ba Trieu Temple festival is scheduled to be held from April 9 to 11 (from the 21st day to 23rd day of the second lunar month). The festival, as a part of the 2015 National Tourism Year in Thanh Hoa province, will feature a series of rites and traditional activities.
