Viet Nam International Travel Mart honours heritage sites
Update: Apr 03, 2015
The Viet Nam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2015, themed ‘Viet Nam – the country of heritages’ was officially kicked off in Ha Noi on April 2, with the presence of Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan.
The VITM’s organisers present medals and flowers to
businesses taking part in the event.

This year’s fair focuses on introducing natural and cultural heritages honoured by UNESCO as well as numerous attractive destinations in Viet Nam, whereby the image of the country’s long-standing cultural traditions, beautiful natural environments, diverse cuisine and friendly people will be promoted widely.

The VITM features 496 booths, including 355 represented domestic travel companies from 44 provinces and cities as well as 141 booths from 24 countries and territories around the world.

At the fair, businesses will launch a tourism stimulus programme with discounts of 20-50% offered on the prices of around 8,000 tours as well as thousands of cheap tickets up for grabs.

The Viet Nam Travel Association, in collaboration with Vietnam Airlines, has built the VITM online system that helps visitors search, compare, evaluate, choose and order tours and tourism products of travel companies.

Numerous workshops and forums discussing tourism activities and the effective implementation of tourism stimulus programmes will also be held during the four-day event.

Initiated in 2013, the annual event has effectively contributed to promoting Vietnamese tourism to international friends and offers an opportunity for domestic and foreign tourism businesses to exchange and seek co-operation contracts to expand markets. The 2015 VITM is expected to attract around 65,000 visitors to attend the event and purchase promotional tourism products.
