Some 2.5 million people flocked to the northern midland province of Phu Tho to celebrate the annual Hung Kings Temple Festival as of April 23 (the eight day of the third lunar month), said the organising board.
The annual Hung Kings Temple festival hosted by the northern midlands province of Phu Tho will be held from April 21-25 (6th to 10th day of the third lunar month) with an array of cultural festivities.
The 2018 Hung Kings Temple Festival is set to unfold at the Hung Temple Complex in Viet Tri City and neighbouring communes, in Phu Tho province from April 21 - 25 (from sixth to tenth day of the third lunar month), with the participation of Thai Nguyen, Quang Nam, Binh Duong and Kien Giang provinces.
The northern province of Phu Tho has finished preparation for the Hung Kings Temple Festival, one of the biggest festival of the year, which will take place from April 21-25, or the 6th-10th day of the third lunar month, said a provincial official.
Palanquin procession and offerings rituals were held on April 4 with the participation of five communes in the northern province of Phu Tho to honour the Hung Kings, the legendary founders of the Vietnamese nation.

Phu Tho People's Committee announced at press meeting that Hung King death anniversary which falls on the 10th day of the third lunar month and Hung Kings Temple Festival 2015 will be taken place from April 23 to 28, 2015.
