The Ha Noi Days programme was officially launched at Et Cetera Theatre in Moscow on September 21 under the framework of the signed agreements between the two capital cities to strengthen friendship ties.
A special art performance kicked off the event with folk and popular songs about Ha Noi as well as Viet Nam’s land and people.
Moscow government minister Sergey Treriomin said the relations between Russia and Viet Nam have developed and flourished over the past six decades despite many challenges and obstacles.
The two cities have expected to double and triple their two-way trade turnover in the future to fully realize potential.
Ha Noi Days in Moscow will include a series of activities, such as cultural exchanges between artists from the two cities, exhibitions on Ha Noi - Moscow cooperative relations, and trade and investment promotion programmes.
The same day, the Ha Noi delegation led by Vice Chairman of Ha Noi People’s Committee Vu Hong Khanh paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Moscow City Duma, the Governor of Moscow Oblast and the Moscow Mayor.
Earlier on September 20, the delegation laid wreaths at Ho Chi Minh Square and statue in Moscow.
