Peru promotes tourism in Viet Nam
Update: Nov 17, 2015
On November 12th, the Embassy of Peru in Viet Nam associated with the Ho Chi Minh Tourism Association introduced the Peruvian tourist market to travel agencies in the southern hub.

Mr. Luis Tsuboyama, a representative of the Embassy said the number of Vietnamese tourists to Peru is expected to increase in the near future because visa applications are now more convenient than before.

Since December 2014, after the embassy officially opened in Ha Noi, the country has begun granting visas in Viet Nam instead of having to send documents for the visa to its Embassy in Thailand. The move has helped to reduce the duration for the visa application from 15 days to 7 days as regulated.

Each year, Peru attracts more than 3.2 million foreign tourists to well-known destinations such as Machu Picchu - the lost city of the Incas, Lima capital and the Nazca desert.

Mr. Luis Tsuboyama also stressed bilateral trade turnover between Viet Nam and Peru saw an average growth of 120%-150% between 2005 and 2015. This is considered as a positive signal to promote the cooperative relation between the two countries in various fields.
