A thurification marking the 227th anniversary of King Nguyen Hue’s enthronement and the Ngoc Hoi-Dong Da Victory took place at the Ban Mount national historical site in Hue city on January 4th.

Local leaders and people offered incense, expressing their gratitude to Hero Nguyen Hue’s great contributions to the national unification.

A special show reviving the coronation of Emperor Nguyen Hue was performed.

In the early spring of 1789, Nguyen Hue, who was later proclaimed Emperor Quang Trung, led his Tay Son troops to defeat more than 290,000 Qing invaders in battles in Thang Long-Ha Noi on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year.

The victory of Ngoc Hoi-Dong Da is one of the nation’s most remarkable and remembered historical moments.

At present, Hue city is building a cultural tourism site  to educate patriotism to young generations.
