VNAT meets Tourism Authority of Thailand in Viet Nam

(TITC) – On 10 March 2016, in Ha Noi, Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director General of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) had a meeting with Mrs. Napasorn Kakai – Director of Office of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in Viet Nam.

At the meeting, Mrs. Napasorn Kakai informed that Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+) 2016 will be held from 8 – 10 June 2016 at Chiang Mai International Convention and Exhibition Center. The international mart attracts the participation of many countries, focusing on trade and tourism promotion. Mrs. Napasorn Kakai invited VNAT to attend TMT+ 2016 which provides the opportunity for each country to introduce tourism to media agencies in Thailand.

Mrs. Napasorn Kakai hoped in the coming time, Thailand and Viet Nam will enhance tourism promotion to increase the exchange of tourists between the two countries. In March, TAT will organize a famtrip delegation, including representatives of 3 Viet Nam's tourism businesses to explore Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket. In May, Bangkok Airways will open direct flight Bangkok - Da Nang, operating 4 flights per week, which facilitates tourists in the Central of Viet Nam to Bangkok and vice versa.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy General Director Ha Van Sieu appreciated effective contribution of TAT to boosting tourism cooperation between Viet Nam and Thailand. Viet Nam also strives for attracting more international tourists, including Thai Lan tourists, to Viet Nam. Mr. Sieu hoped the opening of direct flight Bangkok - Da Nang will enhance tourists exchange between Viet Nam and Thailand. Besides, the two countries should share information about the promotional plans and activities in order to support each other in participating in tourism events.

On this occasion, Deputy Director General Ha Van Sieu invited Thailand to attend upcoming tourism events in Viet Nam such as VITM Hanoi 2016, the International Tourism Fair of Da Nang 2016, ITE HCMC 2016...
